At the age of two his loving mom jornied to the United States in Boston Massachusetts for the American dream in getting an education and making a better life for herself, him and the rest of the family and he was raised by his Grandma, aunty. At the age of 9 in 1987 Hafiz took the unwanted road as his mom sent for him. He arrived in Boston Ma, to a totally different world, of people, buildings, weather and endless possiblilites.Similar to the President Hassan his transition became a struggle and he himself faced many challenges and hardships, especially when you are a young skinny African boy who does not know the culture or the language. As he went through this, and began to learn the cutlure, the language, the characters of this new world he always knew their was somthing different about him, something he wanted to do. He remembers being in Sierra Leone trying to give light to his family, where he use to take a light bulb, wire and car battery to see it that would turn it on, and he can help others in the area with their lights, unfortunately the ligh bulb did not come on but even at that young age he knew he had and wanted to help others and knew about business. As he got older he started watching and paying attention to the news, presidential debate, reading etc ans his mom was tough when it came to education, that was priority number 1. As he grew he always wondered why their was not alot of black people in the news, in media or even had their been a President, and he said to himself one day he is going to change this and find a way for my people to be seen and heard. When he finished highschool and went to college he met and teamed up with a well known Dj and musician in the Boston area name Nigel Cooper aka King Ilabash, he was caribbean but they had similar interest in providing entertainment and media to their people. So Hafiz started Mama Africa Productions For The People-The Music- The Culture- The Future in 1998 which was suppose to bring African nightlife, media and entertainment to our community. Him and Ilabash started doing Clubs in the Boston area pertaining more to the Caribbean and hip hop culture.A few years later Hafiz saw their was not night life for Africans so he decided to start one, he felt that we worked so hard in going to school, working 2 plus jobs etc that we needed a place to go have fun, enjoy and relieve all the stress before we did it again. So around 2001 or so him and his teamed started Club Mama Africa, from their teamed up with another African Club called Club Waffu, these were the only 2 African clubs in existance at this time, and went on to then create Club Afrik, which became the spot to be for African and International music and then created Caribbean First First aka CFF the #1 Caribbean night for sexy, classy, mature people to mingle, network and have fun.In early 2004 Hafiz decided that we as Africans needed our own voice, so he inquired at a local Caribbean station where him and his team spent time and money to showcase African music, business, artist and more, the show was called The African Radio Show and had about 5 shows that went live every week, from The African Kitchen, to Africa On Demand to Passport to Africa. Around june 2005 with this show being popular he decided that maybe is time we need our own station, but with no fm liscence available he inquired about going online and in July 2006 African Radio Online was born.African Radio Online is one of the biggest online African and International radio station today, with over 2.5 million listeners in over 30 countries it has surpassed the expectations of many but not Hafiz as he continues to dream BIG, and with everyone saying it will not work it has worked, currently he has decided to Franchise the company and now has teamed up with some great people who have the same belives to create African Radio and TV stations like African Radio Asia, African Radio Naija, African Radio Jamaica, African Radio U.K., African Radio Sudan and currently has teamed up with his country mate and name sake Hassan Ifonti to establish African Radio Salone. And if you are interested in giving your country A BIG Voice that is not mention make sure you contact him. This partnership for African Radio Salone is not overnight, is has been in the works now going on a year and Hafiz and Hassan felt that it was the right time to give Salone another place for their voice, their faces to be heard and with Hassan Ifonti already established in his own right with online media it was a perfect opportunity for them to do this, 2 boys who became 2 men with the same, name that came to the U.S. at the same age with similar aspirations have come together to take Salone music, artit, media and enteratinament to the next level, for a betterment of Mama Salone and her children. Join Us.About The President/PartnerHassan M. Iftoni, was born to a Sierra Leonean Mother and Lebanese Father in Sierra Leone, West Africa in 1981. At the young age of 9, this young mogul journey for great thing began when he reached the United States of America. Growing up in Virgina, he and his family began to adjust to the "American Life". For Hassan, this transition became a struggle, as he faced many challenges and hardships that many young african boys face when coming to america. He spent time figuring his way through life all the way to his young adulthood. Once Hassan reached high school age, he had many role models in his home that showed him how he could serve his country through service and healthcare. Having a mom, dad, and brother who were all nurses, hassan knew that had to follow the same path in order for him to help his family and straighten his life. Through out his life, he always had a passion to help his country, especially being priveldged to survive and excape the civil war and come to America. Hassan became a nurse, and this was just the beginning of his life long journey. He then thought through his love of music, media, and the arts, he could give back and serve his community by creating Sierra Leone Freetown Unlimited TV also known as SLFUNTV in 2008, B.E.T AFRIQUE in 2011 and teaming up with AFRICAN RADIO ONLINE in the spring of 2010. SLFUNTV is his online idea where sierra leone musicians, artists, and talent can be given the opportunity for the world to see what sierra leone has to offer the industry. B.E.T AFRIQUE is another idea of his to promote Africans and African music. You can also see updates on the latest in the community, and the countries initiatives to change health, education, and service. Learn more about SLFUNTV by visiting www.slfuntv1.com or slfuntv.com or B.E.T AFRIQUE by visiting www.betafrique.com. Visit facebook and see all what SLFUNTV has on its multiple pages. For Hassan, This is just the warm up. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
